Celebrating Alison's BEM
We are absolutely bursting with joy to celebrate our very own Alison, who was officially presented with her British Empire Medal (BEM) at a beautiful ceremony in Shrewsbury recently.
Alison received this prestigious honour for her incredible services to people living with memory loss and dementia. It was a truly special occasion, with the medal presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire and the Mayor of Oswestry, Rosie Radford, in attendance to share in the celebration.
Alison - proud recipient of Oswestry Life Magazine's Volunteer of the Year Award
Huge congratulations to Alison, the proud winner of the Volunteer of the Year award at the Oswestry Life Magazine Local Hero Awards.
Alison’s support means so much to Connect for Life and to the people and families we work with. Her generosity of time, energy and compassion helps make a real impact in our community, and we are delighted to celebrate this special moment with her.
Big thank you to Oswestry Life Magazine for the permission to use the photo.

Spreading the Word: Connect for Life at Pant WI
Frances and Julia recently visited the lovely ladies at Pant WI to share the story of Connect for Life. A huge thank you to Margaret Williams for organising and for her kind words: "Frances and Julia were brilliant... our members really enjoyed hearing about what you achieve."
We love sharing our mission with the community! If your club or group would like to hear about the work we do and how to get involved, let us know. We’d love to visit you next!
A "Mischievous" Start to Our 10th Birthday!
What a way to kick off our 10th birthday year! We had a blast at our "Mischief!" workshop with the amazing Vamos Theatre. It was a day filled with laughter, playfulness, and - as promised - plenty of mischief!
A huge thank you to Vamos Theatre, our wonderful volunteers, and everyone who joined the fun, including our guests from Bluebell View Care Home. We couldn't have asked for a better start to our year of celebrations!
