Illuminating Moments: Celebrating 10 Years of Connect For Life
Singing, dancing, drama, poetry and plenty of laughter filled our 10th birthday celebration, Illuminating Moments, on Saturday 3rd October 2026. It was a special afternoon bringing together the people who have been part of Connect For Life’s story, with different generations enjoying the celebrations side by side.
Performances by Emma Peace, Alison Stevens, and pupils from The Meadows Primary School brought music and joy to the occasion. LADS entertained us with their wonderful performance of the Queen and Paddington, prompting plenty of smiles and laughter, while poetry offered some quieter moments to pause and reflect.
There was also time to catch up over afternoon tea and birthday cake, share memories and enjoy each other’s company. Seeing people chatting, joining in and enjoying the afternoon together captured so much of what Connect For Life means to our community.
For ten years, Connect For Life has offered people living with dementia and their carers a place to find company, support and a warm welcome. Illuminating Moments was a chance to celebrate those friendships and the many people who have helped them grow. We look forward to sharing more activities, laughter and memorable moments in the years ahead.
